Restructuring Life

Building a structure is a formidable challenge. While it may appear as a single entity, it is composed of numerous parts. A building is a structure, and so is a house. Each contains rooms, beams, steel reinforcements, and, crucially, a foundation. Thus, constructing a structure is no small feat. I am tackling it piece by piece.

Planning and Personal Growth

I've mapped out what you might call surface-level details, such as my paydays and hair appointments. These aspects often cause me anxiety, especially the hair appointments. I've even scheduled some in advance to allow for better planning. This is all part of my focus for this quarter, spanning January through March, and then April through June. I have big ideas for the next six months, but nothing beyond that. I plan to revisit and reassess my progress and personal growth in May. By then, school will be over, and I will be in New Orleans as a teacher leader, living my best life.

Embracing Financial Systems

I've also embraced a new financial system called velocity banking. After my first paycheck, which I consider my first fruits, I intend to give it to the Lord. I anticipate having more cash flow because I've reorganized how I pay my bills and manage my debt. Initially, I thought about giving my money to the Lord and stressed about it because I would have very little left. However, I realized I have buckets; I have a pail. This reminded me of the widow who had some oil at home but lacked enough vases. She borrowed vases from her neighbors, and the oil continued to pour into them. If she had more vases, the oil would still be flowing.

Networking and Opportunities

I began to think about how I could acquire more buckets or vases and use the little “oil” that I have left. How does this apply to me in the modern world, in a practical sense? I pondered this and considered the idea of networking with people. One of my goals is to attend events when invited. I need to stop avoiding opportunities and instead show up and be present. Additionally, I am contemplating capturing the positive things that people say; that might serve as a bucket for me. I don’t know.

Exploring New Avenues

I am exploring what other buckets could be. This is where my thoughts are now—buckets or vases. How do I acquire more of them? Once this revealed, acquiring vases and selling oil will be a new stucture. A lucrative one at that!
